New Canadian Technology Accelerator in London for ICT
Call for Applications: June 30 – July 25, 2014
The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service manages the Canadian Technology Accelerator in London (CTA@UK) for Information and Communication Technologies.
What is CTA@UK: 3 sessions, up to 3 months each, up to 10 Canadian technology companies per session.
Selected companies will receive office space for three months, along with mentoring from business partners to fast-track growth (sales, strategic partnerships), and connections to VC networks.
The program is targeted to Canadian SMEs from the ICT sector (Including Health IT and Sustainable Technologies), particularly those with
- Big data
- Digital media
- Retail technology
- M2M solutions.
Companies must have a proven product or service with demonstrated revenue, and a commitment to UK/EU market growth.
A global financial centre and home of Europe’s largest and wealthiest consumer base, London has also developed into Europe’s largest ICT sector, as well as its largest source of VC and private equity funding.
The ICT sector is valued at $220 billion (CAD) annually, and is home to a growing number of Canadian technology companies. London is also Europe’s best connected city, providing a platform to business opportunities across the EU/EMEA regions.
