BioAlberta and the National Research Council of Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) are pleased to offer you a workshop on how Canadian companies can obtain non-dilutive funding from the US National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Although not as straightforward as it is for American companies, there are various pathways for Canadian companies to work with the US NIH. In 2012, $175 million of NIH funds went to projects outside the USA. The presenters will cover these pathways in the workshop. They are also available for private meetings with interested companies to discuss their unique situation and potential eligibility for NIH funding after the workshop and the following two days.
The US federal government has been one of the largest investors in medical research and development. This investment is made through a variety of mechanisms and government organizations, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The goal of the Workshop is to inform and facilitate access to funding opportunities for Canadian SMEs in life sciences from the US National Institutes of Health.
