2009 Hall of Fame Inductee

Dr. Gerard Tertzakian is a chemist with extensive experience in businesses related to specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. A resident of Edmonton since 1966, he became co-owner and president of the very successful Raylo Chemicals Inc until his retirement in 1994. More recently, he was founding president of Cytovax Biotechnologies Inc, was closely involved in the founding of Lacent Technologies Inc, a manufacturer of laser cutting devices for textiles and of Innovotech Inc, a company involved in biomedical projects.

At all above companies, Dr. Tertzakian has found initial funding and recruited senior administrative and technical staff with impressive records. Today, mainly through his company Hannibal Ventures Inc, he is still actively involved with technology related businesses, as mentor, recruiter and angel investor. He has extensive committee and board experience and serves on a number of technology related boards.
