You are invited to Biomat Connect, an academic and industry mixer event on, March 31, 2016, being hosted by The Canadian Biomaterials Society – Alberta Student Chapter (CBS-ASC). CBS-ASC hosts events to increase student awareness and involvement in the Alberta biomaterials community.
The goals of the Biomat Connect event are to:
- bring academic and industrial researchers together,
- get familiar with key differences of work environment between industry and academia,
- gain insight into entrepreneurship opportunities that may arise from academic research findings, and
- connect students, professionals and researchers.

The Canadian Biomaterials Society – Alberta Student Chapter (CBS-ASC) is
a student group affiliated to the University of Alberta and operates
under the direction of the Canadian Biomaterials Society. CBS-ASC
endeavors to promote awareness of current biomaterials applied to human
life research and technology within the student population in Alberta.
We have a strong presence at the University of Alberta with over 200
registered members and our events typically attract graduate students
and faculty members from the Faculties of Engineering, Medicine,
Chemistry, and Pharmacy.
