WISER (Women in Science, Engineering, and Research) for early-career professionals is a newly-formed sub-community of WISEST (Women in Scholarship, Engineering, Science and Technology). The WISER Network is a community of individuals at various career levels in industry, government, and academia who meet to develop relationships, exchange information, support, and promote the advancement and participation of highly qualified people.

The WISER Network consists of graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, research associates and early-career professionals from industry, government, and academia. Our combined experience represents a wide spectrum of areas: oil and gas, life sciences, nanotechnology, information technology, mathematical sciences etc. Throughout the year, we hold monthly events such as professional development workshops (communication, negotiation skills etc.), mixers and discussion panels with representatives from industry, government and academia, informal mentoring sessions, and various networking opportunities.
