Workshop on Microfluidics & Nanofluidics: Technologies, Trends and Reducing Barriers to R&D
Date: Tuesday, April 19, 2011
Location: University of Alberta, Edmonton
Time: 8:00am - 4:30pm

The Canadian Microelectronics Corporation (CMC) is hosting a workshop on Microfluidics and Nanofluidics: Technologies, Trends and Reducing Barriers to R&D. The workshop:

  • will focus on technologies and trends in design tools, miniaturization, integration, automation & parallelization of Microfluidic devices;

  • will focus on challenges associated with manufacturing application specific single use devices and development of microfluidic platforms;

  • aims to bring together researchers from academia, industry and government laboratories into a one-day event to further understand the issues around various applications and needs of researchers.

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta

The workshop will consist of invited presentations by researchers from academia, government laboratories and industry, and will culminate in a panel discussion on the subject of “Reducing barriers to R&D in Micro- and Nanofluidics”.  The workshop is open to all faculty members and their students, PDF and research associates at Canadian universities who are working in, or have an active interest in this research area.
