Sanofi-Aventis BioTalent Challenge (SABC)

This student focused program matches high school students with mentors in the community for a friendly competition. It is designed to promote future careers and interest in the biotechnology sector.

 
Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Awards Gala

Our annual gala is held to network and celebrate outstanding achievements within the industry.  This premier event brings together the membership and friends of the industry to honour achievement and celebrate the industry’s milestones.  It is always an enjoyable and memorable evening, and the successes in our industry are acknowledged by presenting awards for:

  • Company of the Year
  • Scientific Achievement and Innovation.

The Alberta Bioindustry Hall of Fame, established in 2006, recognizes people who have demonstrated leadership in the industry and made extensive and tangible contributions to the Alberta and Canadian life science community.  Individuals are publicly recognized and inducted during the annual gala.

National Biotech Week

A week in September dedicated to celebrating the growth of the life science industries and to promote their significance to our everyday life in Canada.  A variety of networking events and promotional activities take place throughout the week.

 
Alberta Pavilion at BIO International Convention

Every year BioAlberta unites industry participation under one banner to position Alberta as a significant life science cluster in the global marketplace. We coordinate all promotional activities.
